RootsUp Compost Tea

All of our lawn and tree care fertilizer programs incorporate RootsUp’s very own actively aerated “compost tea”, a nutrient-rich liquid made by steeping compost in water. The tea extracts beneficial microorganisms, nutrients, and organic compounds from the compost, creating a concentrated solution that can be applied to plants as a foliar spray or soil drench.

Always made from OMRI Certified Organic products and supplements and ‘brewed’ under controlled conditions (monitoring oxygen and temperature), each batch is quality confirmed under a microscope by our trained techs.

Compost tea helps promote healthy soil biomes – think of it like healthy food for the soil! Plants thrive in healthy soils, and healthy soils must include a complex array of living microbes that bridge the gap between the non-living components of soil and the plants themselves.

Adding our compost teas to your lawn, gardens, and trees helps build healthier root systems, increasing root depth and root mass, and ultimately strengthening plants against drought, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies. We have found that many plant health issues can be corrected with soil support, and though we still utilize select disease control or plant food products, we strive to approach the issues with a holistic program to help limit the use of unnecessary chemicals.
